Injury Management

On-Site Injury Management

Hinco provides on-site injury management for companies of all sizes, needs, and budgets. We come to you to evaluate your employees’ orthopedic injuries, treat them on site with first aid care when we can, triage them out to other providers when necessary, and see the injury through the entire process until the employee returns to full duty.

By having a Hinco provider on site, your company saves on unnecessary ER and urgent care visits, physician appointments, physical therapy bills, and more. If we can take care of it in house for you, we will, saving you money in the process.

You have the option of an Embed Model or, for those living in the Lincoln area, a Concierge Model. Depending on how many injuries you typically have and what your budget is, we will determine the model that will be the most beneficial to your employees and most cost effective for you.

Embed Model

On site a predetermined number of hours per week and all-inclusive: initial injury evaluations, follow-up injury evaluations, first aid care, and medical treatment care. You would also have the option of having personal injuries evaluated. As time allows, all prevention services are also included: ergonomic evaluations, pre-shift stretching program development, healthy spine programs, health and wellness education, etc.

Concierge Model

On site only when you need us. This could be for an initial injury evaluation, follow-up injury evaluation, or first aid care. Prevention services are not included in the Concierge Model but are always available for an additional cost. Medical treatment is not included in the Concierge Model. This model may best fit a small or medium-sized company that has mostly first aid injuries and only zero to six recordable injuries a year.

Benefits of on-site care for employees

  • Immediate care

No delays to navigate the work comp system and make an appointment off site. Hinco has an orthopedic specialist on site to evaluate and triage the injury immediately.

  • Convenient on-site follow-up care

Continual assessment to make sure the injured employee is progressing properly or if they need to be referred to another provider.

  • Catch little problems before they become big problems

Nagging injuries can become big problems that take an employee off work if not addressed. With Hinco on site, we keep workers working to provide for themselves and their families.

  • Feel better at work

Nobody wants to work in a place that makes their body sore. But cases of soreness and discomfort that are not injuries can fall through the cracks of the work comp system. With Hinco on site, you have someone dedicated to treating reports of discomfort, making your team feel better at work.

Benefits of on-site care for employers

  • First injury evaluation is in-house

Rather than the employee’s first interaction being with a non-orthopedic specialist who may not know OSHA rules on recordability, Hinco athletic trainers are not only trained orthopedic specialists, we understand OSHA and the work comp system, keeping your recordable injury numbers low right from the start.

  • Reduced discomfort of employees

Hinco tracks reports of soreness and discomfort just the same as they do an injury. This means we can not only treat the discomfort and make the employee feel better, but also better understand the risk within the workplace. With this knowledge, you can better allocate your capital to reduce that risk.

  • Rural orthopedic telemedicine

Don’t have an orthopedic surgeon in your area of the state? Having an athletic trainer on site means an employee can get the physical exam part of the assessment done right there on site with an orthopedic physician also “in the room” via telemedicine. From there, MRIs can be ordered, prescriptions called in, or anything else needed, all without leaving the worksite.

Return on investment

  • Reduced direct medical costs

Fewer doctors’ appointments, ER/urgent care visits, physical therapy appointments, etc.

  • Reduced indirect medical costs

With on-site care, we reduce absenteeism and the resulting down time and overtime pay that may occur.

  • Reduced mod rate/insurance premiums

Our services are billed at a flat rate and don’t go through insurance, meaning no matter how many patients we treat, your insurance will not be negatively affected.

  • Prevention services included

Get ergonomic assessments, a custom stretching program, biomechanical analyses of your employees, safe lifting education, health and wellness education, and more, all included in the Embed Model.

No matter your budget, number of employees, or injury numbers, Hinco has a customized model that will fit your company the best.
